If you see equipment or trees in contact with electrical lines:
- Stay at least 10 meters (30 ft) away. Call us at 1-888-565-5445
- Tell us your name, telephone number, legal land location, and directions
- Keep others away!
If you are in equipment that is in contact with electrical lines:
- Stay on the equipment!
- Only leave if there is fire – then jump as far away as possible with both feet very close together. Keep shuffling away with both feet close together. NEVER contact the equipment and the ground at the same time!
- NEVER go back to the equipment until linemen have given you the clearance to do so! – Not for wallets, cell phones or anything else!
REMEMBER – You can’t see, hear, or smell electricity! It can be the “silent killer”. Never take
chances!
